The formation of Diani-art goes back to 80’s when Demet & Akif first met when they were the students of the same university. This relationship further resulted by marriage on 1987 and their most important project “Damla” joined the team on 1989. Although the severe critics by families friends , they started their adventures in Russia , by taking along the baby Damla when she was only 6 months old at that time. The 90’s were the transformation period in the former Soviet Union and the world as well During that period Damla became Damlushka as their russian friends still call her.
They still believe that the once in a life time experiences in Russia had contributed a lot to their personal development beyond their perception of the world totally. Later some unexpected changes in their professional life forced them ( DI and ANI) to form their own business. Being the partners of companies dealing with Construction, Travel and Transport business , they had a succesfull business experience based on the original and creative aproaches where human and creativity were the key elements. After 10 years of heavily intense business life, they started to think that the life is not limited to meetings, business trips,earn money and they decided to leave so called business life. By that decision they left all the titles behind and chosen to live by searching themselves as Demet & Akif only. In that phase they concentrated on ceramics & photography related matters and meantime the idea of creation of a website appeared in mind.
So, related to this web site,they mention their intension as " we just want to share with you what we see on our journeys around the world, as well as colors, sounds, designs and feelings inside".
